Vanguard Digital

About this site

Who publishes Vanguard Digital, and how it decides what to write

A small, deliberately narrow publication: a question-and-answer resource about desktop online vehicle combat games, written for readers in Australia, funded by a single advertising arrangement that is disclosed on every page it touches.

The publisher

Vanguard Digital is published by FAJBUD s.r.o., a company registered in the Czech Republic.

  • Company: FAJBUD s.r.o.
  • Registered address: Chotěšovská 680/1, Letňany, 190 00 Praha 9, Czech Republic

There is no larger organisation behind that, no newsroom, and no editorial board. Where a page needs to attribute something, it is attributed to the Vanguard Digital editorial team, which is the same company. We would rather state that than invent staff profiles, and a reader is entitled to know how small the operation writing for them is.

What the site covers, and what it does not

The subject is online vehicle combat games played on desktop computers — the category in which aircraft, tanks and ships are simulated in varying detail and fought over by other people in real time. Within that, the site answers practical questions: setting up, what things cost, whether a computer will cope, keeping an account, understanding the vocabulary, and the classification and safety questions that come up in households with younger players.

The site does not review games, does not score them, and does not rank them against one another. It publishes no benchmark figures, no player statistics and no prices, because it has not measured any of those and repeating other people's numbers as though they were ours would be dishonest.

The editorial method, stated plainly

How subjects are chosen. From questions that recur in public gaming communities in near-identical form, and from the gaps those threads leave — the questions with answers that are general, stable and checkable. A question whose answer changes every patch is not worth a page.

How coverage is limited. Vanguard Digital has one commercial relationship: an affiliate arrangement covering War Thunder, published by Gaijin Entertainment. That is the only product the site links to commercially, and it is the only product covered in product-specific detail. This is a narrow scope and we say so rather than implying a survey of the market that does not exist.

What the commercial relationship affects. It determines which product gets a page of its own. It does not determine what that page says. The page about it lists, in a table, the questions we will not answer about the product and sends readers to the publisher and to the Australian Classification Board instead.

How claims are handled. Anything about a specific product is attributed to the publisher who states it. Anything about Australian law, classification, consumer rights or online safety links to the government body responsible, so the wording can be checked at source. Where we do not know something, the page says so.

How pages are reviewed. Every page carries a last-reviewed date in its footer. Pages are re-read when something they depend on changes — a regulator's guidance, or the structure of the sign-up process described on the product page.

How the site is funded

Affiliate commission, and nothing else. When a reader follows one of our marked links and registers an account with the advertiser, an advertising network pays Vanguard Digital a fee. Readers pay nothing extra and receive exactly the same product at exactly the same terms.

There is no display advertising on this site, no sponsored posts, and no paid placement of any other kind. Nobody can buy a mention here. The affiliate disclosure page sets out the arrangement in full, including what it does and does not influence.

What we collect about you

Nothing. There is no form on this site, no newsletter, no account and no comment section. We run no analytics, load no advertising pixels and set no cookies — not one, which is why there is no consent banner. The only external request any page makes is for the font stylesheet, and the only record of your visit is the ordinary server log kept by our hosting provider. The privacy policy and the cookie policy describe precisely that and nothing else.

What we are not

We are not the publisher of any game, nor an authorised reseller, partner or support channel for one. We cannot access accounts, process refunds, lift bans or restore lost progress, and anyone who tells you otherwise is not us. We are not a news outlet, and nothing here is reporting. We are not qualified to give financial, legal or security advice, and the guidance on this site points at the Australian agencies that are.

If we get something wrong

Errors are worth reporting and we would rather know. Email info@vanguarddigital.online with the page and what is wrong with it. Corrections are made to the page and the last-reviewed date is updated. If a correction changes the substance of what a page advised, we note the change on the page itself rather than quietly editing it.
